just put KYB gas adjust shocks on all 4 corners, replaced the 4 year old Monroe gas shocks, was lookin for that firm controlled ride, well the KYB's are a little firmer on the ride, but not much noticed, handles much better at highway speed.
Any ideas on this, i noticed that the KYB's have strong push out, want to extend, while Monroe was very weak on extendeing, and firm while contracting, opposite of each other. any ideas why? my opionion of Monroe shocks has always been poor, it still is.
I dont believe shocks can lift a car, but the KYB's are strong enuff to do it i think, at least a little bit for a short time.

There are two different styles of gas shock - high pressure and low pressure. Both have good and bad points. KYBs are some of the highest pressure shocks on the market, and yes, they've been known to increase ride height.

With a little time, the KYB's will settle, placing the car back to OEM height. I agree, Monroes are J%##%&K!
