I am installing the rods onto my pistions and can't get the little rings into their seats. My pistons aren't pressed on, the wrist pin just slides through and a ring goes on both sides to keep it in. Is there a trick to get these rings installed? I can send you a pic if you don't know what I am talking about.
Thanks

Try to install one of your locks without the pin in. If it goes in, then your problem may be that your pin is too long. If it does not, then the lock or the land is improperly sized.

there is an installer you can order from JEGS. I suggest you buy it as it will save you time and aggrevation. just one engine builders opinion. its a spiral lock ring installer or something like that.

Are you using snap rings or spirolox? Snap rings have two little eyes which a special plier engages; spirolox are a continuous spiral ring which is fed into the groove.
