i know the accelerator linkage rod is supposed to be natural in the engine bay, but is the part that protrudes through the firewall to the pedal supposed to be painted interior color?

gee, 3 questions in a row, can you tell what i'm working on tonight?
thanks for your help,

I believe it was a natural color inside the car as well. I haven't seen one which has been painted originally. Just to be different I had my complete accelerator pedal assembly chromed.

Hope one of the gurus will tell us the skinny on this.

It would have been installed after the car was painted, hence it is all natural.
