I have a 1966 mustang 289 with after market 1976 Ford dura spark ignition. Car is son's and has been running perfect.
Yesterday, I had a pioneer am/fm cd installed at a radio shop and son's mustang will hardly run. Noted after car stalled out the red wire to dura spark brain only showed 6 volts key on. I am not an electrician and radio shop ran a grounded 12 volt wire with 20 amp fuze from battery to brain. This made car run even worse and acts like motor is going to bog down. Put on new coil. Think this must be something really simple as car was running fine when went in and will hardly run. Radio place states they have checked everything under hood and dash. The radio was an under dask installation. Mail suggestions to [email protected] or [email protected] Really need help!!
