I am looking to buy a small compressor for various uses. I would like to be able to spray the underside of my hood before putting back on. I'd also like to paint the inside of trunk lid and door jambs (doesn't have to be perfect). Any advice on a compressor/sprayer? I don't want to go overkill, just something big enough to do the job. Thanks for any advice.

If you use a touch-up gun like the $25 one from Harbor Freight, a small compressor will do the job. The small gun will work OK for the areas you are looking at. Evaluate the compressors based on CFM and not HP, which they all seem to lie about.
