Put a re-manned alternator on the wifes Benz-other one tested dead-not I get 13.7 readings at the battery when idling. No change when I give it gas (unless my 9 year old can't read it right). Belts is good and tight.

Should read 14+ shouldn't it? Any ideas? I think I'm gonna pull it and have it tested this PM.

Thanks.

Depends on the batt etc if it goes 14 and over. More important is if it keeps the voltage up.
turn on everything electrical and see what the voltage does. and i'm dead slow, pics coming.

dont' know what voltage regulator they use but anything over 12V will charge battery. suggest you take alt and VR to AutoZone and get them tested as a unit - they do it for free usually.

If the battery is low you may get a lower reading. What amperage is it putting out under a load? Drive the car to an Auto Zone and they will test it for you.
