Well, I replace the Diode Trio last evening as well as installed a new self-exciting (I am still not going to go there....) voltage regulator. And the doofus light on dash is now out. However, still has whine in speakers. In talking with co-workers, sounds like I need a BAC (large coil).

More later…

A whine in the speakers can alse be caused by a ground loop between radio and power amp, esp. if the power amp has been put way back in the trunk while gnd has been locally connected.
