I am doing a T5 conversion in a 68. Since my car was a 4 speed I am told the yoke splines will not match up and the driveshaft needs to be shortened. I am considering the custom aluminum versions. Anyone using the aluminum shafts? My car is used for cruising enjoyment and not racing. What are the pro's/con's or would it be easier to change the yoke and cut down the original unit?

nearly all my late model F-bodies (Firebird/Camaro) come factory equiped with aluminum shafts. I currently have a 3.5 inch aluminum shaft on my Boss 302 and am installing one on my project Xtremestang. I like them from the standpoint of less reciprocating weight, appearance and strength. I have had the one on my Boss 302 for several years now with no problems whatsoever....
