This guy does custom centers (although it sounds like he’s way behind) and I have some design ideas.

For reference I went from 235/70-14 to 225/50-16 so in the tire parlance it’s a +2 so same diameter overall (although 10mm narrower) so it shouldn’t be any surprise the new wheels fit.

I don’t know the offset of the 69 GT 14x7 steel wheels but I would be surprised if the were also 4in/0 offset.
