There are Fairlanes, Cougars, Torinos.........BUT they are much harder and more expensive to restore and get parts for than Mustangs. Some parts are common but Mustangs are easy to get what ever you want.

It would be a shame to have passed the test but to have missed the lesson.

How about a Maverick?
You can find them pretty cheap, most had 6cyl's but the 302 came in them also. Most of what you can do to a Mustang as far as upgrades works on the Maverick as well

What's your price range? There are plenty of Mustang coupes out there that may need a little work in the $1500 to $2000 range. Sure they're not perfect, but part of the fun is working on it yourself. Another option is a Falcon. I bought a 63 2dr Futura with great paint and interior in need of a carb and timing chain for $900. The car was almost rust free and the black paint was nearly flawless. I got it running and drove the car for a year and then sold it...stupid me.

how about a falcon ranchero? I was going to get one but my wife and I decided to get something with a back seat. Don't know the availability of parts, but they are light. Just a thought.

Lincon Mark VII. Any mod you can do to a late model mustang you can do to these cars. Now a days you can pick up one of these cars fairly cheap.
