Someone had a tip for removing the anodizing on aluminum before buffing but i cannot seem to find it with a search, could you let me have it again.

That may have been my post on the shelby 1/4 window frames. As lightning said use EZ off oven cleaner. Spray on a hidden area and let it sit for 20 minutes wipe off to see if there is any difference, if so great, if not spray again and let sit for about 30-45 minutes. As long as you are doing a hidden small test area you will readily see if the anodizing has been removed. Then spray everything let sit, wash off, dry, and polish. I used blue magic polish and a foam wheel, I was amazed at how little time it took..
