now.. for the fuel cell, how do most aftermarket cells work with the fuel gauge.does the sender work from the float????I was wondering since most cells are foam filled????? Is there still room for the float in there??
The Fuel Safe units come with a sending unit installed. They are located at the passenger-side front of the cell and act much like old Chevy sending units, in that they change reading radically as the fuel moves.
Yes, there is a sender in the cell. It is not the same as the one in your tank now, so you will have to make some changes at the gauge too. The instructions come with the cell.
