morning group,
a few questions....well, a lot of questions. i have a 1970 I6 coupe.(it started out that way. the PO put in a V6. why?) i want to put a 351 cleveland.(i have the motor) i understand i need to beef up the rear end, gas lines, suspension and brakes. my main question. i have a complete 71 V8 9inch rear end, disk brake coupe. would those parts fit the 70? i understand that the 71 rear end is about an inch or so wider, but are the spring perches in the same location? (width wise?) and will the 71 disk brake front suspension bolt up to the 70? thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience.

has this info:

2. 1967-1970 Mustang 8 & 9-inch housing width: 54¼".

3. 1971-1973 Mustang 8 & 9-inch housing width: 56".


But I think all of them use a 43" perch width. Just measure leaf spring to leaf spring on each car to find out.
