I know the 1994 and new T5's don't seem to easily work for the T5 conversion in the vintage mustangs. I know that the input shaft needs to be swapped out? has anyone had any bolt in success with the 1994 and newer unit and what if anything needs to be done??

I have a 97 V6 T5 (same torque specs as the 94/5 V8 units) in my 66 coupe. The install was no more difficult than using a 93 and earlier trans with the exception of the fork location, teh need for a 94/5 bell housing for the extra length of the input shaft, and different setback for the crossmember. The only thing I have left to finish is the hydraulic setup. I did have to swap the tailshaft for a 94/5 unit since the later T5's use an electronic speedo.
