I need to replace my old, rotting bias-ply ties on my 70 Mach 1. It has the original steel wheels with the Mach 1 "mag-style" wheel covers. I think these are 14x5 wheels.

What would you recommend? I'm looking for something serviceable, but not fancy (read that inexpensive). After it is spiffed up, I plan to get some of the Polyglas-type reproductions from Coker for showing.

Thanks.

Sorry, I wasn't clearer. Size and type. I figured maybe Goodrich, but wasn't sure they were still a good choice.
I especially insterested in the size that will fit the stock wheel and wheelwell without messing up the speedo.

Thanks.

To not alter the speedo/odo readings, you need to know what the original tire's outer diameter is, and then compare that to the new tire's diameter. You can go up to an inch of width beyond the rim's width as far as setting a tire on the wheel.
