Found a 65 K code coupe today available for sale.
Car has been undergoing restoration. Was sandblasted and primed. Underneath, engine bay and interior have been painted.
Car came from California, owner has proof. No visible rust.
Car originally black with standard red interior.
All new interior peices come with car - seat buns, seat covers, carpet, headliner, dash etc.
SS wheels, no tires.
No original engine, has rebuilt .03 over 289 A code engine. I have a 64 HIPO engine I could use.
toploader tranny, not yet rebuilt.
All glass is out, but in good condition.

What should I offer?

I wouldn't give more than 3.5 or so...maybe 4 if everything (except the correct engine) is there...

That would be based on my valuing greatly a K code coupe......which in reality I don't necessarily...

I would imagine the car might be worth 12-14K max. restored....and it'll suck up 4K worth of your hipo engine to make it right...

Labor of love, yes? *G*

I saw a 65 "K" coupe yesterday in a mustang junkyard. It way past being (economically) restored.
Very disappointing.......Good luck - Dickson
