I thought there might be a few. *G*

I heard years ago that 67 Mustangs had only one torque box, and that in 68 they went to torque boxes on both sides.

Is this true. A friend is puzzled why his 67 Shelby only has TB on one side. I told him I thought I remembered hearing that, but that I would check with the most knowledgable person I knew (or group of persons).

Thanks. The more replies I get, the more confident I'll be. So don't sit there and think it, type it.

My old 1967, before I purchased my 1968, had only one torque box, also on the driver side.

My '67 Has two torque boxes....only because I added one. From the factory, the 67 only had a drivers side torque box. They added a right box in '68

Definitely true exactly what your friend told you is correct 67 came with drivers side torque box only. 68 came with both sides certainly a true statement.

I did not understand what the "torque box" was. Just went and looked under my 67 coupe and sure enough there is one on the drivers side but not the passanger. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif fd

Great! Now I have to go look too...

http://my67heven.tripod.com/emsm.gifI was looking for a restoration of fantasy. I do not want my car to be as it was in 1967. I want it to be as I imagined it in 1967. -John Baird

I have to ask...What's a torque box and where are they? It appears from reading the posts that I have two on my 67 vert. I know I have looked at them, but did not know that's what they were.
