The repro "Autolite/FoMoCo" script plug wires sure look great, but dont' seem to work as well as the all black pertronix wires. Would like to know if there are any other sets available that perform better and still are concours correct?

I'm assuming the Motorcraft orange boot wires are not concours.

I did see a set at Mustangs Unlimited (see description below) that appear to be concours but not sure if they would be acceptible for a 65 289? and if they even performed any better than the others?

SPARK PLUG WIRE SET 67/68 SHELBY GT500 428 P/S
Original-Style Ignition Wire Set for 1967-1968 Shelby GT500 (428) w/Power Steering.

These black rubber w/orang boots ignition wires are not only concours with the correct "Autolite" stenciling, but they are radio resistance wires. Don't be tortured with that high-pitched whine and ticking just because you want to listen to the radio!. Coil wire included.

Thanks

My recommendation would be to use the petronix wires for driving and have a spark plug wire and distributor cap setup with you to use for shows. Spray a little silicone in the boots for easy removal.
