Good morning!

I "think" I posted this to the old forum, but I tried to search without any luck :( so i'll try again.....

Our local Ford dealership has a old Cobra II parked in their "parts" yard, and I was wondering if it would have anything that I could upgrade my 65 fastback with????

Any clues????

The Cobra II was more of stripe and decal package than a performance car. I think the car used an 8" rear end, so you could check to see if the 3rd member had a lower gear which might be nice. Other than that I don't think anything off of that car would improve the performance of your fastback.

Alot of guys are looking for the Mustang 2's front ends for their rods .You can actually install rack an pinion and control arms and such in your 65, if you wanted to cut out your shock towers to put in a big block.I would check the rearend for gears or for being a posi as mentioned. Also if it is a 4 speed, you might find someone looking for one of those.

If it has the black cushion steering wheel and the silver three hole three spokes, you might want to grab it. It should have the horn button in the center. I've wanted to stuff one on my '65 since the Grant wheels tear up the turn signal switches but I've only seen one in the wrecking yard and the rim is shot and the horn button is gone.
