Any one recognize this Motorcycle?
The owner claimed that this model replaced the horse.
I can't/won't verify it.

Whoops, I should add that some 85,000 of these were built for the U.S. Military during WW II. I wouldn't say it replaced the horse but it certainly helped HD survive to become the only U.S. motorcycle manufacturer after the shut down of Indian in 1953.

Yup, a good old 45 V-twin Harley from WWII. And no, it didn't replace the horse. That distinction really goes to the Model T. The cheap little Ford is actually what nearly destroyed the motorcycle industry, along with the Great Depression. This left only Indian and Harley after 1940. Guess which one survived.
