I want to freshin up the outside of my carburetors to where they don't look so grungy. I know Eastwood makes some stuff just for this, but I'm wanting to get it done today preferably with local supplies that I can find around town. I don't plan on taking the carbs apart to rebuild, because at this point they don't need it.

Any tips & Idea's on what will make the outside of the carbs look new again?

An aerosol carb cleaner used with the little tube stuck in the nozzle to direct the spray will clean most gasoline stains off the carb. Small paint brushes and cotton swabs can help with the detailing. Lay shop rags around the base of the carb to keep the carb cleaner off the paint on the intake manifold.
Good Luck.

Is it a stock carb or aftermarket? I painted the body of my Holley the same color as my car and put on the chrome fuel bowls. I just cleaned the carb with spray-on carb cleaner and used rattle can touch-up paint that. Worked perfectly. There's more pix in the link in my sig....
