Need some sage advice. Has anyone installed a "shift kit" in a c4? I am contemplating giving it a try. Just how difficult is it, especially for a "beginner" or would I be better off going to a trans shop (they want $200)?

It's not that hard to do. Just follow the direction.

I just did mine about a month ago. Its a bit messy but pretty straight forward. You will like the results.

I'm thinking about putting one in my C-4. I've rebuilt my carburetor, should it be comparable in difficulty? I'm always up for a challenge if it isn't!

go for it man. most kits today are do it yourself. pretty straight foward, just make sure you get a good kit. i got a transgo for my mach1 and love it. easy instructions.
