·The past couple of days I've noticed some front end play on the convertible. So today I get the front end up in the air and there's a weird sort of play in the tires - almost like a loose bearing but without the in & out common with a loose bearing.
Well, I get the dust cap off and what do I find? No washers between the nuts and the bearings! I think this was probably a personal doofus although I'm not sure, since I had some other stuff done to the front end.
Anyway, I can't seem to track these washers down anywhere locally. I tried making my own, which worked out pretty good except I couldn't get the washer just the perfect outside diameter size so that the grease cap would stay on.
I can get these things from NPD or Mustangs Unlimited, but it pains me somewhat to pay over $20 (price of 2 washers plus quick shipping) for 2 washers. Unfortunately, I've got to have this car as it's my daily driver.
So, I was wondering: does anyone have 2 spare washers that I could purchase for a nominal fee, or send a beer for, or something? Any front drum washers from 67-69 will work, or any 8 cylinder 65-66 washers will work. Anything later won't fit right.
Anyways, thanks guys & gals, and if someone's got 2 just hangin out that I could procure somewhat quickly I would be most appreciative!
