I'm looking for any and all information on this area, as I am considering a relocation there. If you have any first hand knowledge, I'd sure like to hear from you. Email me at [email protected].
Thanks,
Jim

Spartanburg is a wonderful city. I've been there several time visting kin. Greenville is close by. I live about 100 miles from there. Have you tried doing a Yahoo search on it. You might find what you're looking for there.
I'll store that Fastback while you're thinking about the move :)

I live in Chesnee, SC which is only about 10 miles NE of Spartanburg, I was born in Sptbg. and have lived here all my life. It's a great place to live, very friendly people and a small town atmosphere. Let me know if I can give you any specific info. [email protected]

I live in Easley, SC. About 7 miles west of Greenville which is about 15 miles west of Spartanburg. Nothing against Spartanburg but I moved here from PA. We spent a week looking for a place to live in Spartanburg and asked everyone in Spartanburg what other towns were close and some mentioned Greenville but said it wasn't as nice as Spartnburg. Rivalry among towns I guess I spent one day in Greenville and made up my mind this is where I want to be. We have a new arena www.bilocenter.com. Hosts minor league hockey and concerts and all kinds of events. www.greenvillegrowwwl.com Greenville Braves baseball. Farm league. We have the peace center for plays and concerts. The Palmetto Expo center for events. Mountains are 30 minutes away. Lake Hartwell Jocassee and Keowee are 30 minutes away. I would suggest checking out Greenville. We love it here and we're deported yankee's.. If you like racing we have the 2nd oldest NASCAR santioned 1/2 mile asphalt racetrack in the country. www.greenvillepickens.com Kind of nice all the cup and busch teams practice her before all the shortracks each year. Anyway, send me an e-mail and I can tell you more...

I live approx 2.5 hours from Spartanburg. Nice place, small town so if you're looking for big city life it ain't there. As a previous poster said, Greenville is bigger in size. But, Greenville is one big sprawling mess. Spartanburg is more of a classic type compact town.

It's pretty slim for jobs if you'll need to find one - that's if you're not transferring for a job. The Marshall Tucker Band is from Spartanburg. A nice advantage to Spartanburg over Greenville is it's a quicker shot to the beach - 3 hours or less to Charleston, 2.5 to Myrtle Beach.

Greenville has come a long way in the seven years I've been here. New road added. The southern connector. Easy access to 385 connection to 26 south. I can make the beach in 3.5 hours. Atlanta is 2.5 hours south. Charlotte is 1.5 hours east. Plus we do have Greenville-Spartanburg international airport also. It depends what your career field is. Jobs are plenty...Oh yeah, scary thought the movie deliverance was filmed 1 hour away....
