65 Coupe, 302, edelbrock top end kit, holley 750 carb.

That carb is way too big. drop down to a 500 cfm, 600 max cf if you insist on having such a large carb. start with front jets around 60's. set base timing at 10 degrees and check total advance is no more than 36 degrees at 2200 rpm.

you might be able to add a little more timing as the aluminum heads will allow more total timing because they run cooler.

Make sure you have a 190 thermostat in it and the engine comes up to operating temperature. What distributor, cam, ignition system, exhaust are you running? these all will make a difference in the performance of your engine.

If you baseline your engine with the above items, it should be fairly close to where you'll want to be.

installed a 600DP holley. Had Chirs car doc in humble tune it. Runs like a champ now..
