I recently added factory style GT fog lights (and wiring) to my 67 convertible.

Now I am in the process of adding H4 delta headlight housings and new modern bulbs, as well as a relay harness to power the headlights directly from the battery.

has anyone done any upgrades to fog lights, and keeping the stock look?

I have not looked for any retro housings for the fog lights. Anyone?

another thought would be to add a third relay to the new front harness. Then use the factory switch to trip the relay, and get full battery power to the fogs as well as the hi/low beam. ?

I suppose I could get fancy and power the fog relay from the low beam circuit so the fog lights only work with the low beams.. anyone try this ?

Yes, I have. I've installed a Harley type H3 Fog Light equivalent 4 1/2" round, which is almost a perfect fit for our housings. You do have to trim the housing a little to get it to fit. The Harley or its equivalent light bulb uses an H3 bulb and for mine I used a 60W PIAA bulb, and then ran them off relays to get the brightest light I could.
