Here in the Fort Walton/Niceville/Crestview area of the Florida Panhandle, Classic Mustang drivers unknown to each other always wave when they see each other in their old rides on the road.

Where are you located and do the Classic Mustang drivers wave there ??

If not, why don't you start a trend !!

I'm a waver too, I had a Jeep Wrangler a few years back and I think it's a law that you have to wave to other Wranglers and/or CJ's(YJ's in Canada). I took that thing all over the U.S. and Canada and just about every other one waved at me.

When I first bought my Jeep Wrangler, I could not for the life of me figure out why people were waving to me - here I thought it was my good looks and the early signs of balding, and what it really was was a secret Jeep society!

I wave or give "the head nod" when I'm too busy driving to take my hands off the wheel.

I'm in with the rest of the crew. I wave, give a thumbs up (to the nice ones) or just the good ole head nod. We mustangers have to stick together.

Yup, here at the beach, everybody waves at any old classic.

We wave all the time, even at nice chevys. We even wave at the camera
guy at the track while doing 90 mph.

I give a thumbs up or a wave to all classic cars, but especially Mustangs. Drives SWMBO nuts ... she can't seem to figure out why I do it, and I can't seem to explain it to her *LOL*.

Ditto for me. I wave at all classics, but give a wave and knowing smile only to Mustang drivers. They know what I mean....

This is something that has been a pleasant surprise to me since I bought my mustang. Yes, they do wave, and I even get waves from some people driving other brands of vintage cars. I think this is great. We are all in the same hobby. The other day, I came up to a traffic jam. Traffic was also stopping in the other direction. When I stopped, I saw a '66 GT coming the other way, and the guy ended up stopped right next to me! This is NE Ohio, not California, and you just don't see many vintage cars out this time of year. We not only waved, but talked a little too!

I am a waver, but my 8 year old son is a super waver. he will wave at anyone when we are in the 'Stang. He really enjoys riding in it and I hope within a few years we will be in the market for another (for him).
We live in downriver Detroit.

Here in the south, you get special waves. The classic one is the "raised index finger off the steering wheel accompanied by the head nod" that you get from older guys in old Ford pickups.

SWMBO drove the car yesterday and said that somebody in a nice old blue mustang waved at her. I asked what she did. She said it seamed appropriate to wave back. She said she would wave to other old mustangs, but only if they waved first. I then asked her if it was a coup, vert or FB. She said coup. I asked the next question, but new the answer before I asked...what year was it?

My daily driver is a '54 F-100 pickup and it always seem to get people to wave to me. I usually wave back using the "peace" sign. I will generally wave to just about anyone in any classic vehichle of any make or year. It's kind of like an unwritten law that all the classic car owners in this area live by.

Every day is a holiday if you love your job.

Yep, everyone around here waves too.(Central Illinois) I always wave at a classic, but I give a big smile and a wave when it's a stang.
