Did the argent styled steel wheels that came on the 70 Mach 1, only come on on that car and year?

I'm not positive but I think Torinos and Rancheros had them too.

You could get argent styled steel wheels from 68-70. I know that you could get them on Torinos/Fairlanes, but I suppose you could get them on just about any Ford car. Without my books, I can't confirm if 70 was a larger wheel though.

Oh and the wheel wasn't specific to Mach I's if you got them on a Mustang.

Think you might be confusing two different wheels First the 16 ( think it was 16) holed wheels what were available in 68-69 and the 5 hole wheels that were available in 70-71 (dependign on car model

The 16 hole wheels were available in three different styles over that two year period - Chrome, argent and with trim rings for each hole The 5 hole (similar to Chevy rally wheels) was available only in the dark (charcoal) argent.

The Styled Steel 5-holer was available for the 70 Mustang and the 71 Cougar for sure. I remember when guys would throw them away at the dump in favor of some crappy Cragar S/S's

Came factory on my 71 XR-7 , 1 of 1885 so equipped.

I have seen the 70 option pricing brochure...

http://www.torinocobra.com/torino_pricing.htm

which shows them as being available on the 70-71 Torino & Ranchero.

Correct and I would not anticipate them being reproduced. Last full set I saw on EB** went for around $500

Have a set for my 71 Cougar XR7 thinking of punching them out to 15 or 16"
