I'm told by reliable sources that there are going to be 100-150 Mustangs and Shelby's at the Mall of Georgia (I-85 North of Gwinnett) this Saturday. Both guys I talked to are taking concourse Shelby's so it must be legit. Don't know if this is a sanctioned event or what. Might be cool though. Don't know what time, probably all day.

Any Atlanta people care to elaborate?

I remember reading about it somewhere...It may have been the MCA web sight. If I'm not mistaken it's for snakes only. And I think there's also something at Road Atlanta.

Cool color, what is that? Where abouts in Atlanta do you live? Did you say Marietta once, or do I have you confused with someone else. I'm in Alpharetta.

So where is the exit for the Mall of Georgia. I would love to drop down from Chattanooga. How far north it is can have a pronounced effect on what route I take, cutting the corner off don't cha know. With some luck I'll be forced to drive some backroads.

I'm in Dalton (30 miles south of Chatt.) and I usually go 75 South/85 North. It's a pretty good ways up 85. It's in Buford, GA and according to maps.yahoo.com it's about 116 miles from Dalton (it estimates about 2.25 hours). You might save distance going another route, but in terms of time required I'd guess it'd be hard to beat the interstate system versus going through the mountains. Looks to be about 16 miles north of where you go from I-75 to I-85, if that helps. Have fun :)

The exit is Georgia Hwy 20 off I-85 on the NE side of Atlanta. (don't know the exit number off hand)

There's more to travel than elapsed time. Give me the mountains and an extra 1/2 hour anyday. From Dalton you could almost do Hwy 20 the whole way. You got myself and Tangdar just up the road In Chatt. When the Chattanooga Show rolls around in August we'll expect to see your ride.

Careful, Dewayne is in Dawsonville.

Send me a headsup email on a cruise-in sometime. I'll bring the wife and kids and let them go to the Lego store at the mall while I look at some cars.
