I was thinking of putting something together for all of us to meet May 5th in Effingham Illinois. The Hot Rod Power tour has a stop there that date and I though it would be a great chance for us to get together. I just want to know how many people would be interested in something like this. As for the power tour you can read about it at http://www.hotrod.com

I'd love to, but that's 8 hours from me... kind of a bugger to get to... I'll keep watching to see how many say they're going - maybe I can be convinced :)

Hey Shammy it's centrally located and on I-70. Check out the website. The tour is going through Chicago and stopping in Joliet. Then it goes to Effienham.

Good idea, Bishir, I would be very interested. I am in Decatur, so that's not far at all. Maybe my Mach will be ready to drive by then.

Hey James - Is the PT going out I-70 the whole way west? My buddies and I drove with those guys a couple of years in a row for a few hundred miles when they came through Colorado. Last year, those wimps went south through New Mexico, so we missed them! Those people do not drive slowly. If you can imagine 300 cars at 85 mph going through the Rockies on 70. It was amazing! What a sight! I'd love to do the entire coast to coast thing some time.

Me too! That's my goal for now... I want a car reliable and fast enough to make it cross country with those guys! Check the website for more info but this year they are mirroring the old Route 66. Using other roads of course! So I think you're going to be missed again. Wouldn't it be fun to have a VMF contengent participate? I think it would be great!

I'm very interested! I'm in SE michigan so it would be about a 4-5 hour drive but it sounds like fun. Probably depends on the weather outlook for that weekend.
