Hey guys...my first post on the new board.
Have any of you heard of the Auburn Mini Spool? I'm looking in the Jegs catalog and it sounds like it converts your rearend into a posi for $56....heres what it says:

An Auburn mini spool is an economical was to dramatically increase strength in your rearend. By replacing the internal components of your open differential, you effectively lock the axles together for even power distrabution to both rear tires. C-clip eliminators are required. Price: $56.99

Am I reading this right? What are the positive and negative effects of this wonderous device?

And don't forget to check out the chat! It's great!

Thanks.

This is not a good setup for the street. There is no differential effect, the wheels are locked together.
If this a drag only car, it would be OK. You probably need something like the Auburn limited slip unit.
