I've had some private inquiries as to the manual I've been posting pictures out of....

Got it back in college in the late 70's but the book is still in print in a newer edition...

Here's the book listing on Amazon...you can pull the ISBN and find it locally if you wish...

Hey, anything to help..*G*

Thanks Pat, I will be ordering one, but I see it can be up to a 6 week wait for shipping. Hope they have one for me.

Pat,

What all does it cover? Newer stuff now? I'm looking for something that can help me with C4's, but I'm heavily contemplating building an AODE. Any suggestions?

It might have some info on the early AOD's but I don't think you'll see anything on late model stuff...

It mainly covers traditional auto trans theory and application with some service sections on the different makes...

Great book to learn repairing auto trannies from but not the definitive source of info on any one particular trans....

Expand your search a little and you'll see a wide selection of offerings...I got over 70 using "automatic transmission" in the search field...

I just wanted guys to know what I've been using...

Happy Reading! *G*

You also might try the bookstore at your local community college or adult training center...

Remember, this is a book about auto trans theory and application, not a service manual for Ford automatics although it does contain pretty detailed service info...

I used it primarily to learn hydraulic theory and how to put together a trans correctly....the results worked out great on the race car..*G*
