When I got my car about a year and a half ago, I used cascade vehicle shipping http://www.cascadevehicleshipping.com/ I called them up and talked to them, I had my car shipped from Iowa to Texas, for a really reasonable price compared to some of the other companies, and they were very nice, my car even arrived a day early

HAHA yeah, I know, I found something I thought was good, and decent price, so i went for it. Turns out it had a bit more rust than I expected. I should have been more patient and looked for something from my area, or from Cali or something with less rust, but you live and learn.

I had a car shipped enclosed trailer from WA state to NJ a few yeas back by Intercity Lines
http://intercitylines.com/

If I remember correctly, it was about $1800. I couldn't be happier with the service I got. If you are willing to go open trailer - depending on what you're transporting, you can find it for considerably less.
