GUYS I KNOW THIS CAN BE DONE, JUST WANDERING IF ANYONE CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR HOW TO SWAP A 4-SPEED FOR MY C-4. I'D LIKE TO PUT A 4-SPD IN MY 64-1/2 COUPE 289.

Good Lord....quit yelling already. It's too early.

First things first, does you 64 1/2 have the early style, 5-bolt bellhousing? If so...this question becomes more difficult.

Certainly you'll need to scrounge the clutch setup (pedal and support) off of an early mustang. Ebay or a salvage yard is probably your best bet.

Post? Mustang & Fords magazine just had the whole thing in an article within the last 2 months. Ah, instead of the 4 speed, do the late model 5 speed swap...

Another vote for a T5 5 speed. LOTS of parts available and that extra gear for the freeway.

I agree, when I converted my C-4 to a manual tranny I went with a 5 speed as well.
Overdrive is oh so nice.
