How difficult is it to switch to an electric choke from an automatic choke. I bought a new Holley 4v 600 cfm street legal carb on sale today with an electric choke (talk about putting the carriage before the horse). Still haven't decided on the intake yet.
Thanks again, Dave

Do you mean automatic as in factory Ford Hot air tyoe auto choke? It shouldn't be hard to hook up an electric choke on your Holley if it has the parts already. You need to find a 12V power surce activated only when the key is in the on position. The coil is a bad spot since it typically recieves about 8V and if you put the choke wire on it it drops even more. I've used the "I" terminal on the solenoid with good results.

The existing is a Ford hot air setup. I recently canceled my order for the Holley and opted for the Edelbrock.
