I ready to swap a 5.0 into my 66 fastback and am about to put the 50 oz flexplate and balancer on the motor so I can drop it in. My question is this. Obviously the balancer can only go on one way due to the crank key. However I do not see anything that tells me which way the weight on the flexplate should be positioned in relationship to the balancer when the flexplate is bolted up? Does anyone know the answer to this?

The flex can only be installed one way due to the holes not be equally distanced from each other. You need to rotate the flex plate until all the flexplate fastening holes line up.

Yep, just start bolting it on, you'll see.

just in case you didn't know the weight on the flexplate goes towards the engine and as everyone else pointed out it only bolts on in one position
