I have come accross the mother load of 30's, 40's, 50's and early 60's parts. These came from a defunct used auto parts dealer in business from 1932 to 1964. The photo below does not do it justice, I would estimate there are between 500,000 and 1,000,000 parts. The barn is about 8000sf and has two floors full of every part imaginable with about 80% of them tagged!

I am working out the purchase of the whole lot. The SWMBO is behind it as well. I'll let you know how it works out, looks like I will be in the vintage auto parts business soon.

Since you are looking at this go check the Thrifty Nickel online. I saw an ad for 12 or 15 old mustangs/parts cars going for something like 15 grand. It was either 12 cars for 15 grand or 15 cars for 12 grand. It may be sold already or maybe not. You can hire me to help you move em all, LOL. Well, I only have 1 17 foot trailer and you'd need an 18 wheeler for that.

Wished I lived closer to you. I would come and help you sort thru all of that stuff. I love going thru places like that just for the fun of discovering and uncovering. It's kinda like an automotive archealogical dig site.

GOOD LUCK & have FUN !!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I actually found it on the internet. Was surfing some parts on ehay and struck up a conversation with the owner. Sometimes you have to be lucky.

I would expect to have the deal done in the next month. The biggest issue will be moving the inventory. I figure it may be 10 or 12 semi loads! It is 400 miles from my home town, any suggestioins would be great.

I am concidering using cargo containers which can be loaded and then picked up and moved.
