Began the restoration today....sort of....

Well, we(my dad and I) strarted the restoration today.....kind of. We were planning on waking up early, and getting started. We wanted to get the drive train back in, clean up the engine, and some other stuff. Well, turns out, we wake up, and remember...we havn't even cleaned out the garage yet! Jeesh. Started at noon, got done with the garage at about 2:00 pm, pushed the car into the garage. Then we took about 30 min getting it jacked up to about 11 or 12 inches high. The car kept sliding because our garage floor slightly slants towards the middle where there is a drain. So, that was kind of tough. Then, once we got under it, we found out we couldn't put the driveshaft back in until we got a new set of u-joints for the rear. So, we went and got that at Autozone, then went somewhere else to get some more Simple Green and some other odds and ends. So, turns out, we actually got nothing done on the car. But, we would have had to do all this eventually. We are going to do actual work on the car during the week, and a lot on the weekend. I will have more updates and pics next weekend. Sorry, had to vent.
