I would like opinions of the best exhaust system for an S-code 1967 fastback. The car will not go to concourse shows because there aren't any here. I believe that the transverse muffler restricts exhaust too much. I would like it to look as original as possible. All opinions are welcome and also where to purchase it.

I have a 67 vert. I have asked around and have come up with the following: Triple-Y headers, 2 1/4 pipes, dyno/max mufflers. turn-down at valance. ::

I'm not sure from your post if you are looking for best price or best fit or lowest restriction or a certain "sound". I used the "dealer installed" aluminized setup from Mustangs Unlimited on my GT350. It utilizes Flowmasters and fit very well and only cost about $200. What I liked best about it was that the tailpipes came out parallel to each other and the rear axle does not hit the exhaust system and it has a nice sound with being obnoxious on the highway. This solution may or may not be what you are looking for.
