The rebuild of my '69 sportsroof has finally commenced. The dash is all removed now to fix the dash gauges/lights, so figure it should be treated to a new dash pad when it goes back together (old one is VERY trashed). How are the repros? Is California Mustang the only place that sells them or do other vendors sell them now as well?

You can get them from a lot of the suppliers, none of them are cheap.... There are multiple kinds, most have a different speaker hole arrangement, but you can get them that are a identiacal knockoff of the orig. I havent found them cheaper than $350, so am still in the market myself /forums/images/icons/frown.gif....

Mustangs Unlimited has one in their Hartford showroom for $350. The catalog prices are more. My dash was in generally good shape with a few minor cracks, so I got the cover instead and spent a lot less. However, if your dash is warped or badly cracked, the cover may not work.

So are they making them agen? I got one of the last ones in the country a year, or so ago. At that time people were saying they may be made agen, but not for a few years.

Yes, they are being made again. If you look at page 24 of the latest Mustangs Unlimited catalog, there are four pads listed ranging in price from $300 to $500. I suspect the more expensive ones are made from the original tooling. The less expensive ones are labelled repro.
