Ok guys I am looking for a hood for my 67 fastback that has a dual quad dual plane 8v fuel injected tunnel port 427...

Currently has a 3" air cleaner on it and a teardrop hood which I am taking off.

I am looking for a good hood, with good clearance. I am gonna put a 2" air cleaner on it to drop it some.

My questions is, who makes the best 67 or 68 shelby hood with louvers? What about the Dynacorn SMC hood with steel reinforced bottom? Anybody know how much clearance one of those have, and do they fit any good.

I know vaccuum formed is supposivly better than hand laid, and i really like the 67 with louvers from cobranda but its hand laid fiberglass.

Please help.

Thanks

I wish I knew who the mfgr. was for the hood on my 68 fastback. Short 67 shelby style. It was on the car when I bought it so I don't know where it came from. I also have a 427 TP with dual plane 2X4 carbs and intake with a 67 GT500 air cleaner assy. No clearance problems. The hood lays flat with the fenders with no bowing. I finished out the underside rough fiberglass and it looks really good.
