I don't remember what they are called but need to remove a C4 filter and those very thin headed bolts that hold it to the valve body are on real hard. The size of the head seem to be just a tad smaller than 5/16. So all but two are loose. What type of impact or stubborn bolt puller tools or wrenches are recommended.

In a situation like that, an impact driver would do the trick. It'll shock the bolts loose, while applying force intot he filter at the same time, hopefully keeping them from stripping the heads. NAPA or any good parts store should have one for $20 or so..

On thin headed bolts, I have been known to grind the chamfer off the socket so it grabs the bolt more securely and not round it off.
