Has anyone ever used the black oxide system from the Eastwood Company? It seems like a good deal for getting the small nuts, bolts, washers, etc. coated after glass beading. Painting these small parts is a pain in the butt.

Thanks in advance.

Have used it, works as they say. I found it darker than the phosphate and oil used by Ford though. I left a nice finish on bolts that I used on the chassis.

Haven't delt with this at home, but at work we have been. Black Oxide finish is not a corrosion resistant finish. It requires oiling to keep the rust away. All the bolts on the machines we build are Black Oxide and they rust fast. Our problem is that Black Oxide is not electrically conductive.
