I had a '66 that had one it was located oon fender apron
pasenger side.I belive only Metuchen NJ had these maybe
on other plant used them as well.Mine was a black tag screwed down.

Mine is on top of the LH rear fender apron, near the hood hinge. It is retained by a flat top phillips head screw.
Metuchen seemed consistent in putting them on their cars, while Dearborn and San Jose were not, if at all.

Metuchen built vehicles always used the tags, while Dearborn sometimes used them.

69 Coupe 302, 4 speed, primer red (for that "saving my $ for a real paint job !" look)
66 Coupe, Sauterne Gold , 200 (aka goose sh** green) rust bucket

Depended on the year. In 64-66 no Dearborn car should have one but after that each Dearborn car originally had one

NJ cars only during those years. Normally you will find (thiese years and this plant) along where the fender and engine compartment walls meet
