My 1968 coupe has a dent in the front fender due to a barn door hitting it during a storm, according to the P.O. I don’t know much about body work but I assume once the dent is fixed the whole fender would need a respray. P.O. started to fill in dent with filler before I purchased it. I have a few questions 1. How much would it cost for a professional to fix dent. 2. How much to respray fender and I also have a new headlight bucket assembly and valance that needs painted. 3. It’s not the original color, I don’t have the color code. Would they be able to match it? Would it be worth a try to do the work myself, dent is on a body line and I’m hesitant to do it. The rest of the paint on car is over 10 yrs old but in decent condition. I’ll link some pictures.

from what i can see theyre going to have to spray half the car and blend it in

if you just do the fender it will be like wearing one new shoe and one old shoe

If you are going to have a local body shop match and spray the color, why not just have them estimate the entire job? Make sure they itemize everything so that you can determine exactly what the body repair work will cost.
