I know I saw a post about this a while back but my spedometer is a bit bouncy sometimes alot bouncy, I assume if it was a transmission problem my RPS would kick up when it happened. What does this sound like?

Lube the cable. Use white lithium grease (not the spray). When you take the cable out of the housing to do this inspect it carefully.

Check the run of the housing and watch for hot spots or binding.

If lubing it does not solve the problem then pull the gear out of the trans and check it for wear.

Backing up what Kent said: a couple years ago my speedo was all over the map. I lubed it with lithium and it's been rock steady ever since.

No need to pull the whole cable or do anything at the tranny. Disconnect it at the speedo under the dash, then just slide the cable out of the jacket.
