I have already posted something like this before and I’m pretty sure it has been discussed. My brake lights seem to be possessed. They come on by themselves. My 66 coupe has been sitting for two days with no one near it. I walked out today and the brake lights were on. This is not the first time, it has happened several times before. I press on the pedal one time and they go out. What Would make the lights come on like this? I have installed disc brakes with a booster and a dual master cylinder. Is the brake pedal moving and the switch is engaging? Any ideas?

It is possible your brake light switch is sticking, internally or externally.
I don't know if it's possible that your brake pedal falls somehow as vacuum leaks down once your engine is turned off.

I'd suggest the switch as well. It may need to be repositioned or the pedal lever isn't coming back up enough to hit the button on the switch. The pedal lever has to press the button in to turn them off. When you say "press the pedal", does that mean press the pedal and let it return?
