Well I broke a cam wierd thing is it broke about 3 or 4 inches from the back so the car was running on 6cyl anyone know what would have caused this.. btw the vavles are fine gonna take the engine out and see if it worth rebuilding.

guy at the shop has never seen anything like it.

Same thing happened to me!! The cam broke aft of cylinder #6 and before the 2nd to last (aft) cam bearing support. I dove the car on 6 cylinders into the repair shop.

Cost me $500 to have it replaced (done while I was at work). The cam was only $35 so I got ripped off, labor-wise.

did you figure out how it happened? I was talking to a few auto guys and they think the block might be shot.. maybe the rear bearing froze and something got screwed up.

also I have it at a shop and the guy can't get the piece out without taking the engine out.

I'm so confused on what to do next. I NEED HELP!!!
