On Friday I was backing out of an unfamiliar driveway onto a busy street and dragged the driver's side of my front bumper along a brick fence post. Scraped down to the underlying plating (brass?). Any hope for the original piece or is a repop my only course?

There is a place here in Tampa that re-chromes bumpers. They turn out great but it costs a little more than buying a repo.
