What do you think a new Ford OEM rear bumper for a '65 would be worth? Would it be better than getting a repro or
rechroming mine?

Jim - A friend who just redid a 68 Shelby is a big fan of using Ford parts, but complained to me that he'd spent big bucks for a Ford bumper and was really unhappy with the quality. He ended up replacing it with a better repro.
IMHO the repros are not all that bad, and can be found for around $75. Good luck - Dickson
